Construct vs. Build

As verbs the difference between construct and build is that construct is to build or form (something) by assembling parts while build is to form (something) by combining materials or parts.

I suspect 'construct' is preferred when we deal with something more abstract e.g. 'construct an idea', 'construct the events happened 20 years ago' etc. The word 'build' is often used with something physical e.g. 'build a structure', 'build a lab' etc.  Although I have seen many sentences where build is also used with abstract things such as 'build the argument', 'build the character' etc.

####Construction vs. Building
Construction is the process of constructing while building is the act or process of building. In civil engineering terms Construction‬ includes broader perspective than buildings.. Building can also be termed as product of Construction

####Construction vs. Building
A building is normally some structure used to enclose a space. A construction is more general and includes bridges, roads, railways, harbours etc.
