#चूंकि लड़की ने मुझसे आज सुबह ही कहा कि वह आज रात ही फ़ोन करेगी, tonight को that night में नहीं बदलेंगे!

#this भी अपरिवर्तित रहेगा क्योंकि यह reporting speech में है, reported speech में नहीं!

फिर समझिये👇 

किसी ने गुरुवार की सुबह ही मुझसे कहा कि वह  गुरुवार (same day) की रात को ही मुझको कॉल करेगी! इसलिए tonight अपरिवर्तित रहेगा!

यहाँ सामान्य नियम लागू नहीं होगा!
